Every queen is a work of art: the hair, the makeup, the outfit, all built from scratch to bring a character to life. I photograph drag artists in a roaming portrait style at Pride and private events, often with just a few minutes, sometimes only seconds, before they take the stage. Those quick, electric moments show who each queen is right before the spotlight hits.
